Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about using Best Speech Therapists.
For Families
How do I find a speech therapist near me?
Use the search page to browse therapists by state, city, or specialty. Each profile shows the therapist's credentials, specialties, locations, and services so you can compare options before reaching out.
Is it free to use the directory?
Yes. Searching, browsing profiles, reading reviews, and contacting therapists is completely free for families.
How do I contact a therapist?
Every therapist profile has a contact form. Send a message describing your needs and the therapist will respond to you directly by email or phone.
What if there are no therapists in my area?
Online speech therapy is an effective option for many families. Our online therapy page can connect you with licensed speech-language pathologists who work with children over secure video sessions.
Are the therapists licensed?
Listings represent practicing speech-language pathologists, and therapists who claim their listing verify their identity and license information. Always confirm licensure and fit directly with a provider before starting care.
For Therapists
How do I claim my listing?
Find your profile in the directory and click “Claim this listing”, or start from the Claim Your Listing page. You'll create a free account, verify your identity and license, and our team will review the claim.
My practice isn't listed. Can I add it?
Yes — create an account from the List Your Practice page and add your practice details, locations, specialties, and services through the therapist dashboard.
What does a listing cost?
A basic listing is free. Paid plans add practice-growth tools like featured placement and analytics — see the plans on the List Your Practice page for current pricing.
How do I receive client inquiries?
When a family submits the contact form on your profile, the inquiry is saved to your dashboard leads page. Keep your contact email up to date so notifications reach you.
